This is the home page of Oliver Huber. Main purpose of this virtual residence of mine is to share bits and pieces of my research on text linguistics, discourse analysis and voice user interface design with an interested audience. There are two ways of doing so:
Feel free to download my research papers in the publications section. Those papers mainly deal with text linguistic approaches dealing with electronic texts, mainly hypertexts. However, they also include some easy to read introductions to general text linguistic terms and methods.
On top of that, if you are more into discourse analysis and / or into the aspects of interface design for voice enabled computer systems (Voice User Interfaces so called VUIs), you might find some interesting thoughts within the blog section of this web page. As "everything is text" to at least some extent (I would love to get your opinion on that, feel free to contact me, if you want to start a good chat about that!), you will find that I will touch upon topics from the text linguistics domain within the blog discussion every now and then as well.
This web page deals also as a "hub" for accessing course material from my earlier teaching activies at the university of Munich (LMU). Former students can get papers assembled during those university terms in the teaching section.
Last but not least, I have also put some business related information about me and my career into the CV section. For the broader business context I am working in, please check out the business network section.
Have fun browsing around! In case of any questions, remarks or complaints feel free to flick me a quick note using my contact form. |
